Well, the first round of Arda's Iron Wig challenge is upon us! This was my submission to the contest, and I hope it's good enough! There are some really amazingly talented folks in this contest, and I'm super honored to be allowed to be a part of it.
SO. For round one, we were all given an Arda Leia in maroon. Our task was simple: create a style using this wig, but with no extra extensions. For some reason, I was completely stuck on these dragon horns, so I just ran with it. First I cut the shapes of the horns and attached them to the base of the wig. Then I took the fibers and began covering the horns. The spirals are extra fibers from cutting the wig. The back roll was made from pulling fibers from the sides and curling them over towards the front of the wig. Then, extra fibers were used to fill out the roll and give it better shape. The braid in the back was made by taking more of the side fibers and passing them through the roll in the back and then braiding them together.
I'd like to thank and for their wonderful support and encouragement in this endeavor. Without those two amazing ladies, I would have rage quit a long time ago.
